Csi: Miami Cancelled

TV bosses have axed long-running crime drama Csi: Miami after 10 years on air.

The series, which stars David Caruso as Detective Horatio Caine, is a spin-off of Csi: Crime Scene Investigation and it launched as a separate show in 2002.

However, TV chiefs at CBS have now confirmed Csi: Miami will not return after the latest season.

A statement from the network reads, "Csi: Miami leaves an amazing television legacy - a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in Cbs's rise to the top over the past decade... We thank all the producers... and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons."

Csi: Crime Scene Investigation and secondary spin-off Csi: NY will continue.
