Cryer Relieved To Put Sheen Controversy Behind Him
The future of the hit sitcom was thrown into doubt earlier this year (11) when Sheen was fired from the lead role following a headline-grabbing fall out with creator Chuck Lorre.
Cryer and the rest of the cast and crew were kept in the dark about their job security for more than two months - until Ashton Kutcher was announced as Sheen's replacement in May (11).
The funnyman is grateful to put the Sheen controversy firmly behind him and he has nothing but kind words to say about his new co-star.
Speaking on Los Angeles radio show Ktla Morning News on Tuesday (09Aug11), he said, "I never want to go through that again. It was an awful thing to be a part of. I'm glad that some peace has come out of it.
"(Kutcher) was amazing. He took the roof off the place. It's a lovely vibe."
Valentine's Day star Kutcher will make his Two and a Half Men TV debut in September (11).
