Crowded House Backs Environment Initiative
Rockers CROWDED HOUSE have thrown their support behind a new website which encourages both fans and musicians to be more environmentally aware.
The band is among more than 100 Australian artists, including Powderfinger, Daniel Merriweather and Grinspoon, who have lent their support to SoundEmissions.com.au.
The website, which will launch on World Environment Day on Saturday (05Jun10), promotes ways to offset carbon emissions by suggesting how to purchase tickets and travel to concerts in a more environmentally friendly way.
Crowded House frontman Tim Finn says, "It's a big issue on everybody's lips which we need to figure out, including musicians."
