David Cross - Cross: 'I Took Cocaine In Front Of The President'

Comedian DAVID CROSS has prompted outrage by boasting he snorted cocaine in the presence of U.S. President BARACK OBAMA.

The Arrested Development actor made the revelation during a stand-up performance in Washington D.C. last week (21Oct09).

He claims he took the drug for a dare while accompanying his actress girlfriend Amber Tamblyn to this year's (09) White House Correspondents' Dinner, and while Obama was "maybe 40 feet away".

Cross told his audience, "I got to go because my girlfriend is a fancy Hollywood actress and she got an invitation, so we went.

"I've got photo evidence of all this... I'm there and the president is right here, and (I took the drug) with all these people at the table. Maybe 40 feet from the President of the United States."
