Crooner Jimmy Roselli passed away on Thursday (30Jun11) after suffering heart complications. He was 85.
The beloved Italian-American singer died at his home in Venice Beach, Florida, according to his agent Alan Salomon.
After taking up singing in saloons at the age of nine, the star got his break on radio show Major Bowe's Amateur Hour when he was 14. His most famous songs include There Must Be A Way and When Your Old Wedding Ring Was New.
Roselli's Mala Femmena was famously used twice in Martin Scorsese's classic Mean Streets.
He went on to release 35 albums before retiring in 2004. He is survived by his wife, Donna, daughter Anne, and grandson, Michael.
