The Cribs and Biffy Clyro are among a number of bands confirmed as new additions to the bill for this year's Glastonbury Festival.
Wakefield trio the Cribs, comprised of twins Gary and Ryan Jarman and their younger brother Ross, will co-headline the John Peel stage with south London singer-songwriter Jamie T on the Friday night at this year's event while Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have been awarded the Saturday night headline slot.
Brooklyn indie quintet the National will close out the John Peel stage - formerly known as the New Bands Tent until the tragic death of the influential DJ - on Sunday June 29th.
According to BBC Radio 1's Newsbeat programme, other additions for the John Peel stage at Glastonbury 2008 include Sunderland punks the Futureheads and Reverend and the Makers, fronted by self-proclaimed prophet John McClure.
The Ting Tings, Band of Horses and Spiritualized will also take to the John Peel stage at the Somerset festival, for which tickets are still available.
This year's event features a controversial appearance from New York rapper Jay-Z, headlining the Pyramid Stage on Friday June 27th, while Kings of Leon and reformed 90s greats the Verve will also perform on the iconic stage.
Other acts already confirmed for this year's festival include Hot Chip, Kate Nash, British Sea Power and music legends such as Jimmy Cliff, Neil Diamond and Leonard Cohen.
The full line up for the event is announced on May 1st.
