Creamfields Gets Increased Capacity

by | 14 June 2007

Creamfields festival will benefit from a ten per cent increase in capacity this year to meet the demand for tickets to the dance event.

After last year's success and the strong line-up for this year, the site will now accommodate 49,999 people compared to 44,999 last year.

Acts already confirmed for this year's Creamfields include the Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, Kelis and Mark Ronson.

The festival will also feature the MySpace Summer Daze Bus, which will be making its debut on the festival circuit.

It will host a selection of surprise performances from a number of stars and can be tracked using the networking site.

James Barton, chief executive of Creamfields, said: "The move to increase the capacity was necessary after a fantastic last few years for the event.

"This just goes to show that Creamfields has cemented its position at the centre of the UK's burgeoning festival scene."

Other acts playing at the festival this year are New Young Pony Club, Simian Mobile Disco and Felix Da Housecat.

Also playing will be 2ManyDJs, DJ Yoda, Scratch Perverts, Pendulum, Justice, Ladytron and Carol Cox.

Tickets are priced at £57 plus booking fee and Creamfields takes place on August 25th in Halton, Cheshire.
