Tim Johnson - Country Songwriter Tim Johnson Dies
23 October 2012Country music songwriter Tim Johnson has died after losing his cancer fight.
The lyricist passed away on Sunday (21Oct12) after battling liver and colon cancer, reports music website TasteOfCountry.com.
Johnson contributed to a string of country tracks over the last two decades, including the lyrics to Daryle Singletary's I Let Her Lie, Diamond Rio's God Only Cries, and Kellie Pickler's Things That Never Cross a Man's Mind.
Country singer Jimmy Wayne took to Twitter.com to pay tribute to Johnson, writing, "Prayers for Tim Johnson's kids & wife. Tim wrote the lyrics to (my song) Do You Believe Me Now."
Johnson is survived by his wife and two children.
