Country singer Tony Douglas has lost his battle with lymphoma.
He passed away in Athens, Texas on Tuesday (22Jan13), aged 83.
Douglas recorded his first album in 1956, and he later gained popularity with hit songs like Shrimpin', His and Hers, My Last Day and Thank You For Touching My Life.
Throughout his career, he performed with a number of stars at the Grand Ole Opry, including Dolly Parton, and in 2010 he released his last record, Saved the Best for Last.
A funeral service in his hometown is planned for Friday (25Jan13).
