Thomas Rhett - Country Singer Thomas Rhett Marries

The star married his longtime girlfriend Lauren Gregory in a ceremony just outside Nashville, Tennessee, before whisking her off to Hawaii for a honeymoon.

Opening up about their romance to TasteofCountry.com, he said, "We've known each other since we were in the first grade. We dated once when we were 15, and it didn't work out... We remained best friends even after we broke up. We both dated other people for like five years.

"When I heard that she had ended her other relationship - this was last spring (11) - I moved in for the kill. We kissed, and that was it. We dated for probably six months, and we got engaged last December (11), around Christmas time."

Rhett is the son of singer/songwriter Rhett Akins, who has penned such hits as Honey Bee for Blake Shelton and I Ain't Ready to Quit for Jason Aldean.
