Randy Travis - Country Singer Randy Travis Arrested

Officers at the Sanger Police Department were investigating reports of a suspicious-looking vehicle near a Baptist church in the early hours of Monday (06Feb12) when they discovered the singer/actor outside the place of worship, allegedly holding an open bottle of wine.

According to the police report, obtained by Tmz.com, the 52 year old blamed a fight with his girlfriend for his drunken state, although the arresting cop notes, "Mr. Travis' speech was slurred and I was beginning to have a hard time understanding what he was saying."

Travis was subsequently booked and cited and then released.
