Chely Wright, a country singer, pregnant with two twins, has announced the news happy along with her patner Lauren Blitzer-Wright via YouTube.

Wright and Blitzer-Wright got married in 2011 by both a rabbi and a minister, and are now expecting their first children together, identical twins. "They are due in July, but with identical twins you typically have to deliver a month early," country singer Wright, 42, explained. "So, we're anticipating that I will be as big as a . . . bus or A-frame house by June."

She didn't give details as to how she got pregnant or whether the children are the biological children of herself or her partner. But, in many respects that doesn't matter. "When gay couples have babies it's logistically a little different than when straight people have babies as we all know," she said, adding that becoming pregnant has been an "amazing learning experience... We feel like God blessed us with twins," she said. "We feel our entire relationship has been blessed. We feel lucky and ready to take on the challenges."

As well as being a country singer, Wright has written a book and made a documentary about her story of coming out. Outing herself as gay made big waves in the country music world, and she has been lauded for her decision to do so. She is also, now, an ambassador for LGBT support charity, The Like Me Organization.
