Corey Feldman - Corey Feldman 'Forever Indebted' To Jeff Conaway
Former child star Corey Feldman will be "forever indebted" to his pal Jeff Conaway because the late actor helped him beat his alcohol and booze addiction.
The Grease star passed away in May (11), two weeks after he was found unconscious at his home and admitted to hospital suffering from pneumonia and blood poisoning.
Feldman spoke at Conaway's memorial service in California last month (Jun11), telling mourners, "Jeff was an amazing leader... He had a light inside of him that was so inspiring to many. I was one of those people that he affected so profoundly."
The Goonies star has now opened up about their close friendship, revealing they bonded while they were both attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) classes - and he is adamant Conaway helped him through.
Feldman tells Britain's OK! magazine, "We knew each other through the recovery program, through AA. I had a problem with drugs between the ages of 16 and 18, which is 22 years ago now, although people still think I'm a cokehead.
"Jeff was a very positive role model in my recovery. I am forever indebted to him for his positivity and his support."
