Cook Breaks Silence About Half-brother's 'Terrible Betrayal'
Comedian DANE COOK feels "betrayed" by his half-brother after he was charged with embezzling millions of dollars from the star.
Darryl MCCauley, who worked as the funnyman's business manager, was arrested in Massachusetts in December (08), accused of siphoning off funds from Cook's fortune and forging a $3 million (£2 million) cheque to himself.
He has pleaded not guilty to eight counts of larceny over $250 (£170), forgery and larceny by continuous scheme and is currently being held behind bars as he awaits a pre-trial hearing.
Breaking his silence for the first time since the incident hit the headlines last year, Cook admits he is still in disbelief about MCCauley's alleged actions - and is anxious for the case be over so he can move on with his life.
He says, "It's a terrible betrayal. I worked with my only half brother for several years. Woke up one day and a lot of stuff was missing. There is a good chunk of money that is certainly not accounted for. That's all I can say about it at this point.
"But hopefully justice will be served and I can move on with my life."
