Conductor Kurt Masur Axes Concert Plans After Dangerous Fall
02 May 2012The 84 year old, who is the former principal conductor with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, was hospitalised last Thursday (26Apr12) after tumbling into the audience while leading the National Orchestra of France.
Medics previously thought Masur had escaped serious injury but further tests have revealed he fractured his shoulder blade, according to his assistant Stefana Atlas, who assures fans that the maestro is expected to make "a full recovery".
