Sylvester Stallone - 'Competitive' Atmosphere Drove 'Expendables 2' Stars, Claims Sylvester Stallone
It sounds like filming for 'The Expendables 2' has been an absolute blast, with the leathery old action heroes revelling in an environment that allows themselves to pit what they're best known for - their gnarled old muscles - against one another. "It was very competitive," Sylvester Stallone said of being on the set for the film. "No-one wants to be second so that's why everyone pushes very hard and that's why these people have established a reputation they have because they want to be the best."
Co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger agreed. "Everyone on the set was very helpful because I have been out of the movies for eight years and so they actually went a little overboard thinking I didn't know how to hold a gun any more or how to throw a punch," he said. "So everyone came together and helped, which was really terrific but at the same time we were very competitive. But I think if you grow up and try and be the best then you have to be competitive."
Continuing, Schwarzenegger painted a picture of what sounds like the most macho group bro-mance known to man. "We were always competing as to who has the most defined muscles and who has the best body, who has the least amount of body fat, who has the biggest gun, who kills the most people, who kills in the most unique way" he laughed. The film comes out this week.
