Comic Con Is Out Of This World As The Big Bang Theory Send Fan Into Space
The Big Bang Theory is set to go where no sitcom has gone before, when a real-life astronaut rewarded a fan with the chance to take a sub-orbital space flight at yesterdays COMIC CON. The opportunity arose when Simon Helberg, who plays cosmos-bound Howard Wolowitz, passed up the chance to go on the ride.
The panel for the hit sitcom, which filled Comic-Con's largest ballroom yesterday, were also on hand for some more conventional convention procedures too, with producers and stars revealing some details about the upcoming sixth season. The main topic of discussion was not story lines or plot twists though, rather the talk of character relationships took-up most of the conversation.
Helberg, Melissa Rauch (Bernadette), Kaley Cuoco (Penny) and the show's creator Chuck Lorre were on hand to answer question, whilst Jim Parsons, who plays Sheldon Cooper, made an appearance via satellite.
Also on hand at the weekend-long event yesterday were some of the cast of Hbo's epic series Game of Throne, including the author of the book series George R.R. Martin, who were there to discuss the upcoming and highly anticipated third series.
Hellboy and Hulk were also present yesterday as well Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone and some of the crew from The Dark Knight Rises. Sam Raimi, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams were also on hand to talk about the upcoming Wizard of Oz prequel Oz: The Great and Powerful.
