Coldplay Tunes Send Brits To Sleep
Along with Chris Martin's soothing tones, songs by James Blunt, Snow Patrol, Norah Jones and Take That are likely to send people into a slumber, according to a study undertaken by Travelodge.
Regarding bedtime reading, the autobiographies of David Beckham, Coleen Mcloughlin, JORDAN and Sharon Osbourne were all deemed to be effective at inducing sleep.
Commenting on the survey's results, Leigh McCarron of Travelodge said: "The research shows that we are increasingly relying on slow, sleepy music and unchallenging books to take our minds off the pressures of modern living, to help us switch off and get to sleep at night.
"COLDPLAY and JORDAN seem to hit just the right spot among Britain's insomniacs."
COLDPLAY's latest album VIVA LA VIDA is due for international release on June 16th.
It is the group's first album since 2005's Billboard Chart-topping X&Y.
