Coldplay Begin Work On New Album With Brian Eno
The 33-year-old front man said, "It's from the point of view of two people who are a bit lost. Two like-minded outsiders who meet in a very difficult environment and therefore have a journey together", before adding, "It's a concept album, but it's supposed to be very personal within a big framework. Does that make sense?" The band will be hoping the new record emulates the success of their GRAMMY AWARD winning fourth album, which spawned the hit single 'Viva La Vida', and sold 9 million copies worldwide.
Although no release date has been scheduled for the as yet untitled album, sessions for the record have been in full flow, and Martin described their recent time in the studio as "making a lot of noise". The band are set to play a pair of sold-out gigs later month for the UK homeless charity 'Crisis'.
