Abc - Cold Chisel Draft In New Drummer To Replace Prestwich

Australian rockers Cold Chisel have enlisted American percussionist Charley Drayton to help record their first new material since the death of drummer Steve Prestwich.
The musician was diagnosed with brain cancer in January (11) and underwent emergency surgery, but died two days later after failing to regain consciousness following the operation.
His mourning bandmates are heading back into the studio later this month (Mar11) and they have drafted in Drayton to take Prestwich's seat at the drums.
And keyboardist Don Walker insists his late pal would be pleased the band is still making music.
He tells Australia's Abc news, "We'd already recorded a number of new songs with Steve prior to his passing, plus all five of us have written songs over the summer with the intention of recording more this year.
"Hopefully Charley can help us complete the work we began together. Steve was totally into everything we'd been planning for 2011, so while the last few months have been very difficult to deal with, we all feel that he would want us to complete the plans we made together."
Drayton has previously worked with the Rolling Stones, The Cult and Iggy Pop.
