Diablo Cody's husband Dan Maurio proposed to the Oscar-winning screenwriter on a rollercoaster.
The Juno writer gets a thrill out of theme parks and has turned it into her hobby, travelling across the U.S. to find the best rides, and Maurio decided to pop the question while doing what Cody loves.
She says, "We got married about a year after we met actually. So it was a speedy courtship. He proposed to me on a rollercoaster, because that's my main hobby, and the best part about it was that I was in a restraint so that I couldn't get out or move. So if I wasn't into it (the proposal), it was the ultimate entrapment! We were on the lift (going up)."
Cody has continued to pursue her "strange hobby" after marrying Maurio in 2009, and reveals she even keeps a record of which rides she's been on so she doesn't miss any out.
She adds, "I'm interested in classic coasters... I like the ones that creak. I like anything that feels like it's going to fall apart imminently. But I also like the new, crazy, cool ones... I do have a spreadsheet because I like to keep track of all the one's I've been on."
