Coachella Line-up Boasts Radiohead, Dr Dre, The Black Keys

The line up for the 2012 Coachella Festival has been announced. Radiohead, The Black Keys and Dr Dre & Snoop Dogg have been confirmed as the festival headliners. This year, for the first time, the festival will take place on two consecutive weekends (April 13 - 15 and April 20 - 22), with the line-up remaining the same on both weekends. Tickets for the festival will start at $285 for a weekend pass and go on sale at 10am Pst, Friday January 13th.

A report in The Huffington Post states that over 100 bands are expected to play over the course of the festival and other notable bands on the line-up include Arctic Monkeys, Bon Iver, Pulp and the newly-reformed At The Drive-IN Among the up and coming acts to be added to the bill, are Azealia Banks, A$AP Rocky, The Weeknd and Wild Flag.

In 2011, weekend tickets to the festival sold out in just three days, with the biggest draw of the event being festival headliner Kanye West. British band Mumford And Sons, Canadian rockers Arcade Fire and Kings Of Leon also topped the bill in 2011. The festival has been running since 1999 and is set in the Coachella Valley, in California, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. During the day, temperatures normally soar to over 100 F, with the desert setting providing little in the way of shade for festivalgoers.
