Jake Tapper, the new host of CNN's 4:00 p.m. hour who was designated the face of the new CNN by CEO Jeff Zucker, attracted fewer viewers during his first week than the previous face, Wolf Blitzer, according to Nielsen numbers. In fact, Thursday's episode of The Lead with Jake Tapper, featuring an interview with Jimmy Kimmel (about NBC's reported plan to remove Jay Leno as host of the Tonight show), drew just 326,000 viewers -- nearly half what Blitzer's The Situation Room was averaging. Both of CNN's principal rivals, Fox News and MSNBC appeared to benefit from the CNN exodus. On FNC, Your World with Neil Cavuto drew 1.07 million viewers, while MSNBC's Martin Bashir attracted 450,000.
