Clooney To Bring Monster Of Florence To The Big Screen

George Clooney has signed up to bring the story of notorious Italian serial killer the Monster of Florence to the big screen.

The actor will play Douglas Preston, the author of the best-selling non-fiction book of the same name, who moved to Italy and set out to solve the famous case, which centred on a number of couples brutally killed in and around Florence between 1968 and 1985.

Oscar-winning The Usual Suspects screenwriter Christopher MCQuarrie has been hired to write the script, along with Valkyrie writer Nathan Alexander, according to Deadline.com.
