Clint Eastwood, Harrison Ford To Sign On For 'The Expendables 3'?

Sylvester Stallone and the chaps behind 'The Expendables' have done a darn fine job in bringing back some of the biggest names in action film history for both the original film and its predecessor but could Clint Eastwood be next? With the likes of Jason Statham, Jet Li and even Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean Claude Van Damme turning up for the ageing muscle-buster's party the films have certainly boasted all-star line-ups. However producer Avi Lerner has his eyes on even more stars for another sequel to the films. So who's on the wish list?

"We've approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we've got a character in mind for him" he told a stunned Total Film. There was more too: "We're talking to Harrison Ford. [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I'll give you one more name, we've got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters]."

Crikes, that would be some line-up, but wait, there's more. "And we're going to bring Mickey Rourke back, if he won't be too crazy. I like Mickey. And of course, all the existing stars [will return]." This sounds pretty unbelievable to be honest, if even two or three of those came back with a yes then the third in the franchise could prove to be something very special indeed. Ah nostalgia, you can't beat it.
