Actress Claire Danes is to be honoured by Harvard University students as 2012's Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year.
The Romeo + Juliet star has accepted an invitation to be part of the drama club's wacky annual festivities on Thursday (26Jan12).
Danes, who follows in the footsteps of Charlize Theron, Anne Hathaway and Halle Berry by landing the award, will be paraded around the streets of Cambridge, Massachusetts before accepting her honour at the campus' Farkas Hall.
In a statement, the students say they are "thrilled" to recognise Danes, describing her as "an accomplished actress, who has challenged herself with a wide range of critically acclaimed roles spanning television, film, and theatre".
This year's (12) top man has yet to be announced.
