Chuck Berry Lands Hall Of Fame Honour
The Johnny B. Goode star, who was inducted to the Cleveland, Ohio institution in 1986, will be feted for his musical achievements throughout 10 days of festivities, including retrospectives, panels and gigs.
The events kick off on 22 October (12) and will conclude with a star-studded gala concert featuring Berry himself alongside a number of yet-to-be-announced acts.
Hall of Fame president and CEO Terry Stewart says, "Chuck Berry created the language of rock 'n' roll. We stand on his foundation and we are thrilled to honour him and welcome him to Cleveland."
Berry, 85, insists he is "looking forward to reelin' and rockin' in Cleveland."
Past honourees include Roy Orbison, Buddy Holly and Janis Joplin, as well as last year's chosen star, Aretha Franklin.
