Christian Dior - Christopher Kane Ruled Out Of Dior Job
Christopher Kane has confirmed he has not been approached to take over as creative head of Christian Dior.
Christopher Kane has ruled himself out of taking over at Christian Dior.
The Scottish designer - who was one of a number of names pinned to the role formerly held by John Galliano - has revealed he has not been approached but is ''flattered'' people believe he could do the job.
He said: ''While it is incredibly flattering that I could be considered for a role at a house such as Dior at this stage in my career, I can confirm that I have not been approached.
''I am focused on developing my own label and my ongoing collaboration with Donatella Versace for Versus.''
Raf Simons is firm favourite to take on the highly-prized position at the French fashion house following his departure from Jil Sander, but as yet it has not been confirmed.
Dior has been without a creative head since John Galliano was sacked from the label after he was caught on video spouting anti-Semitic marks to a group of people while drunk at a Parisian café.
