Christine Mcvie - Christine Mcvie Open To Fleetwood Mac Cameo On Reunion Tour
Singer Christine Mcvie has excited Fleetwood Mac fans by revealing she would consider coming out of retirement and joining her former bandmates onstage for a cameo appearance when their reunion tour touches down in London.
MCVie has kept a low profile since she quit the group in 1998 following special performances at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Grammy Awards and BRIT Awards, but 15 years later, she admits she would be open to briefly stepping back into the spotlight.
She tells London newspaper Metro, "If they wanted me to, I might pop back onstage when they're in London just to do a little duet or something like that."
MCVie's admission might come as a shock to former bandmate Stevie Nicks - last year (12), the singer insisted there was no chance her retired pal would want to join them on the road again.
She told Rolling Stone magazine, "I would say there's no more a chance of that happening than an asteroid hitting the earth. She is done.
"You know when you look in somebody's face and you can just tell? She doesn't want to do it anymore. She doesn't want to fly. She doesn't want to come back to America. When she left, she left.
"She sold her house, her piano, her car. She went to England and she has never been back since 1998, so it's not really feasible, as much as we would all like to think that she'll just change her mind one day. I don't think it'll happen."
Fleetwood Mac are due to perform a three-night residency at London's O2 Arena in September (13).
