Christina Perri has taken to Twitter to reveal that she could be back in the studio recording a second album with the simple hashtag #albumtwo.

The 'Jar of Hearts' hitmaker could be set to release a follow-up to her 2011 debut album 'Lovestrong' which became a top ten hit in both the UK and US Album Charts. Today (July 12th 2013) she posted a photo of herself on Instagram donning headphones in a recording studio with the caption, 'beat box 101 #albumtwo', and reaffirmed the suggestion with a further Tweet reading  simply, 'whoa. #albumtwo'. So if the prospect of a second album isn't exciting enough, we're possibly going to be hearing a new 'beat-boxing' side to her music... well maybe not.

Christina hit the charts back in 2010 with 'Jar of Hearts' after the single was played on Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance'. It was certified platinum and reached number 4 in the UK charts, while another of her singles, 'A Thousand Years', also did well after it featured on the soundtrack to teen vampire flick 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1'. Her last release was 'Distance' featuring Jason Mraz in March 2012, so we're definitely glad to see her back in the studio after more than a year!
