Christina Hendricks - Christina Hendricks To Front London Fog Campaign

Christina Hendricks is to front the advertising campaign for London Fog.

The 'Mad Men' actress - who was voted 'Sexiest Woman in the World' by female readers of Esquire magazine earlier in the year - was chosen by the iconic rainwear label to front its autumn/winter advertising campaign.

She said: "London Fog is a classic brand, which I love. It also ties into 'Mad Men' - we used London Fog in the show and this was a nice way to tie everything together. The trench is such an iconic shape for men and women. It works for anyone - it worked in the 1960s and it works now.

"They are so flattering, it feels like a dress, I think it is nice with thin, pencil-shaped pants underneath and something low. Very simple. It is always good over a black dress, too."

The Emmy-nominated star is to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Brazilian model Gisele and 'Desperate Housewives' actress Eva Longoria, who have both fronted London Fog campaigns in the past.

Dari Marder, the brand's chief marketing officer, explained Christina was chosen for her modern and retro look.

She told People magazine: "Christina has a modern appeal but also harks back to a bygone era."
