Christians Take Aim At Johnny Depp For Christmas Song

Johnny Depp has come under fire from religious activists for a new Christmas-themed track they've branded "filth".

The Pirates of the Caribbean star teamed up with British rockers Babybird to record The Jesus Stag Night Club, which tells a story of a boozing Christ-like figure in a strip club.

But the track has caused uproar amongst religious groups including the Focus on Family campaign.

A spokesperson says, "We are sickened by Mr. Depp's behaviour. Why did he need to record this song? It is a slap in the face to Christians all over the world."

Lee Douglas of The Christian Coalition adds, "I'm sure he thinks he's being very funny but he's simply a disgrace. One day, Johnny Depp and his cronies will face the judgment of our Lord and they will burn in hell for this filth."

Babybird frontman Stephen Jones has brushed off the controversy, insisting, "Some people have no sense of humour."

This song is brilliant! I can’t believe that people say they believe in something good when they themselves are so evil. This is pop music for Christ's sake! Not only is Jesus Stag Night Club a musical masterpiece, but also Johnny Depp plays the lead guitar on the track; and that is what the fuss is about. If you listen to the new Babybird album, The Pleasures of Self Destruction, you will find mostly love songs like Beautiful Haze, Best Day of Our Lives, I Love Her and more. I love Babybird and wish more people knew about them. Johnny Depp obviously thinks they are great. He said their last album; Ex-Manic was the best album of the year. Check out the Babybird video for the amazing song, Unlovable, directed by Mr.Depp himself! Go to babybirdmusic.me to join the nest. Peace me out! Trish (^_^)

Just another reason to attack Johnny Depp. I'm sure if he's been attacked for breathing out of the wrong nostril. Doesn't the Bible state "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone?" Or am I wrong. Some people just don't get it. I love ya, Johnny!

I think everyone has a right to their own opinion. It is very simple, if you don't like it, don't listen to it. It is that easy. Get a life for "Christs sake".
