Chris Pine is in discussions to join the cast of 'Welcome to People'.
The 'Star Trek' actor is reported to be in early talks to join the cast of the drama, the directorial debut of Alex Kurtzman.
If Chris were to accept the role, it would be the second time he has worked with Kurtzman, who co-wrote the screenplay for 2009's 'Star Trek'.
The movie tells the tale of a man who delivers $150,000 to an alcoholic sister he didn't know he had following the death of his father.
While visiting, the young man also gets involved with his "angry" 12-year-old nephew, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business Blog.
Production Weekly has previously claimed Meryl Streep and Rachel McAdams are possibly lined-up to play characters in the project, which has been written by Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert.
Chris is currently working on comedy 'This Means War' with Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon, and is due to film the follow-up to J. J Abrams' 'Star Trek' next year.
