Chris Evans - Chris Evans 'Constantly Ingesting Food' For Captain America Role
Chris Evans has revealed the worst thing about playing Marvel superhero Captain America was the constant eating in order to bulk up.
Chris Evans claims the worst part of playing Captain America was the constant eating he had to do.
The 30-year-old actor put on 15lbs of muscle to play the super soldier in 'Captain America: The First Avenger' and although he had to endure some brutal workouts, Chris believes "the worst part was the eating".
He explained: "Just constantly ingesting food and ingesting protein was awful, you get to a point where you're so full but you just have to keep eating if you're trying to gain weight."
However hunky Chris was thrilled with the special effects team's efforts to make him look like the 90lb weakling his character Steve Rogers is at the beginning of the movie
He said: "The beginning part of the movie is so crucial to get the audience invested in who Steve is, I didn't want to share that part of the performance with another actor, I talked to the director about it and thankfully, he agreed.
"It's pretty amazing. They took shape out of my jaw line, they shrunk my skeleton and they made my shoulders less broad."
