Squeeze star CHRIS DIFFORD once enlisted the help of hypnotist PAUL MCKENNA to overcome a fear of flying - but insists the phobia guru was terrified in the air.
The musician wanted to tackle his hatred of flying so he could push the British band's touring abilities, and hired renowned hypnotist MCKenna to help him fight his fear.
MCKenna accompanied Difford onboard a light aircraft, but the star was left horrified at the self-improvement author's own reaction.
He tells Britain's You magazine, "He took me up in a light aircraft, and he actually looked more scared than I did."
And Difford admits it was only the death of his brother which pushed him to get over his flying phobia: "When one of my brothers died, my then girlfriend took me on a flight to New York. It was his passing that gave me the strength to face it; I felt that I had to do it for him."
