Chris Colfer - Chris Colfer feels likes a shrink
Chris Colfer sometimes struggles with being a role model, revealing it can turn a celebrity into the ''world's psychiatrist.''
Chris Colfer admits being a role model can be overwhelming, and it has turned him into an involuntary psychiatrist.
The 'Glee' star plays Kurt Hummel in the show, a gay character which has proven inspirational to fans.
Talking to the Metro newspaper, Chris said: ''When I think about the thousands of letters I've got from kids saying thank you, I feel very honored.
''But, sometimes, the life of a role model can be a little overwhelming - you kind of become the world's psychiatrist.
''I try to take it very seriously because there was no one like us to look up to when I was growing up.''
In the past, the 22-year-old star revealed the part of Kurt was created for Chris himself.
He said: ''They invented a character for me. They created Kurt specifically. There are two experiences in my life that I just cannot wrap my head around.
''That's one. And the Golden Globes was the other. I just cannot believe they happened.''
