Chris Brown - Chris Brown's Representative: 'Alleged Assault Victim Was Belligerent'
Chris Brown's representative has accused the woman he allegedly pushed to the ground during a gig at a California nightclub on Saturday (22Jun13) of causing harm to herself due to her "belligerent state".
Police in Anaheim are currently investigating a complaint made by Deanna Gines, who claims she suffered torn ligaments in her right knee after the singer reportedly shoved her while partying at the Heat Ultra Lounge.
Brown, who is on probation for his 2009 assault on his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, has vehemently denied the accusations and is adamant he "didn't do anything", and the venue's owner, Mike Joher, has since come to the star's defence, insisting 24-year-old Gines had been attempting to rush the stage and had to be removed from the club by bouncers.
He added, "Based on the information which we have gathered from our security company, mall security and other party goers which were at Heat on Saturday night, it is apparent that the alleged incident regarding Chris Brown is false."
Now Brown's spokeswoman, Nicole Perna, has issued a stronger statement to dismiss the alleged victim's side of the story.
A new press release issued to USA Today reads: "Reports that Chris Brown had physical contact with a female patron at the nightclub Heat are totally false and unfounded. Upon speaking with witnesses, security and the owner of the club, it has been proven that said patron caused the physical harm to herself in her belligerent state."
