Chris Brown - Chris Brown's Lawyer Fires Back At Bogus Community Service Allegations

Officials in L.A. have poured doubt on the 202 hours the R&B star reportedly chalked up at a children's centre in Richmond after learning Brown's mother was a former director, and suggested she signed off on the singer's service times, locations and types of duty.

The D.A. has filed papers suggesting Brown violated his probation by submitting bogus community service records. Officials are also disputing the information on documents detailing Brown's work at Tappahannock Children's Center, provided by the local chief of police.

In the legal papers, the Los Angeles officials call the documentation of Brown's service "at best sloppy... and at worst fraudulent reporting" - and they are asking the case judge to reject the star's community service hours in Virginia and make him fulfil his obligation in L.A.

Responding to the latest legal claims, Brown's attorney has revealed he plans to ask a judge to sanction prosecutors.

Geragos tells the Los Angeles Times he has encouraged the Richmond Police Department to "take legal action against the Los Angeles County District Attorney" over allegations suggesting the documents filed last year (12) were bogus.

The lawyer says, "Apparently the district attorney's office has completely lost their minds. They are making scurrilous, libellous and defamatory statements and apparently have lost their ability to read their own reports."
