According to the insider, Brown snuck onto the boat while it was temporarily docked in Sardinia. "He was probably there for two days," says an eyewitness who saw the star 23, first hand on the island off Italy, adding, "Rihanna doesn't want anyone to know that they are together". Brown was greeted by his former love and several of her friends on the craft, which was docked close to the private beach owned by the Hotel Cala Di Volpe in Costa Smeralda. The source called the area a no-paparazzi zone, adding, "It's very private, very small". Brown set off rumors after posting an image to Instagram of his helicopter arrival in Cannes with friend and fellow rapper Ludacris, shortly after Rihanna had arrived in Saint Tropez. RiRi told Twitter followers, "Touch down baby, help me pick out my [out]fit". She split from the superstar in 2009 after he brutally beat her the evening before the Grammy Awards. The pair have hinted at a reconciliation on several occasions, though Brown has been in a relationship with Karrueche Tran for the past two years.

Rihanna was widely reported to have been the cause of a club brawl between Brown and Drake at the W.I.P club in New York in June. Sources said the Canadian star had taunted Brown about his alleged relationship with Rihanna.
