Chloe Moretz: Working With Johnny Depp Was 'Overwhelming'
"He's amazing, he's one of the most humble guys you could ever work with," the teen said. "You walk onto the set and you try and imagine what Johnny Depp would be like, and then he just greets you every morning and is kind of like, 'Hey, how are you doing?' and it's like no big deal." Johnny Depp has also had kind words to say about Chloe, too, describing her as "amazing" and adding "First of all she's a real pro, but she's also a very, very interesting actress." Similarly, the movie's director, Tim Burton, said "It's very rare to meet somebody who's got such a strong sense of themselves and what they want to do, and do interesting things and I love her."
Chloe Moretz plays the role of rebellious teenager, Carolyn Stoddard, in the movie, which is released on Friday (May 11, 2012) in the UK. Her mother is played by Michelle Pfeiffer and with Tim Burton on directorial duties, the film also features Eva Green, Jonny Lee Miller and Helena Bonham Carter amongst the cast list.
