Cheryl Cole - Cheryl Cole Reveals Blonde Haircut For Birthday Bash

Cole will celebrate with friends at a $40,000 bash on Friday and a close pal says going blonde was the first step to forgetting her X-Factor experience, saying, "Cheryl has had a long year, everything has really taken its toll. She's taking some time to work out what she wants to do now. It's a new year, a new look". Although the venue for Cole's birthday bash is being kept under wraps, the singer sent out purple and black invites to friends including band-mates Kimberly Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding. The invitation reads, "You are invited to celebrate Cheryl's birthday. Friday 1st July. 9pm til late. Venue to be advised". The 28-year-old debuted her new look after arriving at the American embassy in London to collect a U.S work visa. She reportedly applied for the document when she was working with Simon Cowell on the U.S X-Factor, but Cole left the show after just four days. A friend said, "What's good is that now she can work in America whenever she wants - so she can still crack the States".
