Rihanna had previously urged Simon Cowell to sign Cheryl up for The X Factor USA - which he duly did - though we all know how that ended.

Over the weekend, Rihanna made a surprise appearance at a Coldplay concert in France, singing 'Princess of China'. She will reportedly appear with the group again on Sunday (September 9, 2012) to close the London Paralympics Games.
