Cheryl Cole - Cheryl Cole Looking Forward To Girls Aloud Reunion
British singer Cheryl Cole is looking forward to reuniting with her Girls Aloud bandmates to mark their 10th anniversary - because she never thought their hiatus would be so long.
The girl band, which formed on 2002 U.K. reality show Popstars: The Rivals, took a break in 2009 to allow the stars to concentrate on individual projects.
They're now preparing a comeback - which is expected to include new material and a tour in early 2013 - and Cole admits she can't wait to be back on the stage with her friends after years as a solo star.
She tells Britain's Sunday Mirror, "All of a sudden I was on this big stage alone and it was mind-blowing... it took ages for me to get used to. I've only just stopped looking for the girls on stage and I'm about to start going back to working with them again.
"I actually didn't ever think Girls Aloud would be apart for this long. It's incredible that we've been doing this for a decade. I find it amazing what we were able to achieve and just how quickly time has flown. Sometimes I look at the band and think we have aged and all grown up, then other times I look at it and it's like nothing has changed at all."
