Cher - Cher Praises Pink For New Tracks

The superstar is planning a comeback with her first new album in 11 years and recently revealed she will be hitting the road once again for her last ever tour.

The trek will kick off after the legendary entertainer undergoes surgery on her foot, but she thrilled fans on Thursday (19Jul12) by confirming a single will be released later this year (12).

Cher also thanked Pink, real name Alecia Moore, for writing her new material - insisting executives at her record company were impressed by her work.

Taking to Twitter.com, the veteran singer writes, "Had meeting 2nite (tonight) w/Record Co. (with record company). They Love (the) Song I've done! Got 2 New (songs)! Pink Wrote them! Co (the company) wants it out (at the) end (of the) yr (year). pic'd (picked) single... Alecia wrote 2 Great Songs!... Pink is Definitely My Girl! She's Talent! Luv it (sic)."

Lady Gaga has also penned a track for Cher's new record.
