CHER LLOYD, the 16-year-old singer who wowed SIMON COWELL and co during her X-Factor audition, is the bookies favourite to win the competition. On 4th September 2010, Lloyd took to the stage and sang a highly original rendition of SOULJA BOY'S hit 'Turn My Swag On'. The performance led to a standing ovation from the audience, and similarly high praise from Cowell and fellow judges LOUIS WALSH, NATALIE IMBRUGLIA, and CHERYL COLE.
After Lloyd was given the thumbs-up by the panel, she was quickly installed as the 5/1 favourite to win the entire contest. David Williams, of bookmakers Ladbrokes, told OK Magazine, "Cher impressed Cheryl and the punters definitely took the bait. They seem to love her and she's definitely the stand-out act of the series so far."
The singer from Worcester, England, discussed her new found fame on the 'This Morning' show, saying, "It's a bit weird I'd say. Because you're walking down the street and no one takes any notice of you, then all of a sudden it's like 'Are you from X Factor?' I don't know what to do with myself then".
