Country singer Chely Wright is pregnant with identical twins.

The Shut Up and Drive hitmaker and her wife, Lauren Blitzer, are set to become first-time parents when Wright gives birth in July (13).

The gay rights activist announced the news on Howard Bragman's YouTube.com show Gwissues on Wednesday (23Jan13) after showing off her small baby bump.

She said, "We're excited to be parents and we hope we don't mess it up too badly! We're anticipating I'll be as big as a... bus or an A-frame house by around June."

And the couple can't wait for motherhood.

Wright, who admitted she's suffering from morning sickness, added, "We feel like God blessed us with twins. We feel our entire relationship has been blessed. We feel lucky and ready to take on the challenges."

The pair married in 2011.
