CHELSEA HANDLER hinted that she has split from boyfriend DAVE SALMONI on her 'Chelsea Lately' show on Wednesday 1st September 2010. The comedienne - who's set to host this year's VMA Awards - has recently been dating the Animal Planet star, but a monologue on her show suggests the relationship may well be over, she said, "I have been working for the E! network for over three years now, and in addition to hosting this chucklefest of a show, I've given many suggestions on how to improve the quality of their entire network. As you can tell by the current line-up of shows, they have taken none of my suggestions. So I've decided to consult for other networks. Up until a couple weeks ago, I was working very intimately with the Animal Planet, but unfortunately, that contract was terminated", Handler then added "However, I enjoyed being in bed with them and may hook up for an occasional project."
When asked about Handler's current status, her rep told USMagazine.com, "She saves all commentary about her personal life for her own show." The 35-year-old is set to take over from RUSSELL BRAND to host the Video Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on 12th September 2010, and it has been reported that JUSTIN BIEBER, USHER, and EMINEM will be amongst he acts performing on the night.
As well as being a comedienne, Handler is also a model, actress, and writer - she's authored three books on the New York Times Best Seller List, 'My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands', 'Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea', and 'Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang'.
