British singer Charlotte Church has revealed she was initially ''scared'' to make her chart comeback, as her new sound is very different to debut pop album 'Tissues and Issues'.
Charlotte Church is preparing to launch an assault on the charts with a new sound.
The classically-trained singer - who has returned from a five-year hiatus after giving birth to Ruby, 2, and 17-month old Dexter -was initially "scared" to return to the music industry with second pop album 'Back To Scratch', as it is very different to her 2005's 'Tissues and Issues'.
She said: "This new album has been quite a long time in the making. The decision to come back to work after I had babies was a bit scary, but music and singing is what I do and I don't think I'll ever lose my passion for it.
"I've been experimenting and trying to create a new and different sound. But also one which goes with my voice. I'm a little bit nervous because it is quite different. But it's not too far away from what I used to do -my classical voice is still there."
The 'Crazy Chick' hitmaker went on to add the LP's title track - which is set to be the first single - was originally written about the breakdown of a friendship, but admitted she recorded the song as her relationship with rugby player Gavin Henson was coming to an end.
She explained: "It became the perfect song for my situation so I sing it with a lot of conviction."
'Back To Scratch' is due for release on November 1.

| After heard her, yeah, she did created and performed a sound I'd call no other glory than new. She carries away our soul. And... uau, I haven't seen or heard from her for a while, but the beauty she developed by having babies brought to me the impression that she's the new Diva to be adored all over the planet... Loved 'tissues and issues' and 'back to scratch'... I loved it. | ||

| Interesting. Charlotte Church is able to do it. I haven't yet seen any of the albums, but reading from your story I can tell she'll do still better all the ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha's from Beethoven with all the acute notes of Vivaldian's ih-hi-hi-hi-hi's as well as the oh-ho-ho-ho's Mozart. I'm quite curious to hear them, and from here I will. Tissues and Issues.... attractive name... Back to scratch ... eh-he-he-he's and uh-hu-hu-hu's ... came from where? Oh... ancient civilizations, and even before that, already had their sounds too, logically. Thanks for the information. | ||
