Charlize Theron - Charlize Theron 'Hated' Delivering Famous Snow White Line
In an interview with the UK radio station Magic 105.4, Charlize Theron has revealed that she hated having to deliver the line "mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all." It is perhaps the most iconic line from the Snow White fairy tale and it's one that was down to Charlize to deliver in the forthcoming re-telling of the tale, Snow White and the Huntsman, in which she plays the role of Queen Ravenna.
"I just dreaded it," Charlize told the radio station's listeners. "We worked so hard to really find a foundation to ground the story emotionally in reality, and that was, for me, the only part that was kind of a throwback." She compared having to speak the line to another well-known catchphrase, saying "In a way it's like, 'My name is Bond, James Bond,' something that is so ... How do you do that in a way that people aren't like, 'Meh?' And they decided to make me shoot that on my first day so I was just sweating bullets. I hated it, I hated it."
Snow White and the Huntsman has been created as a darker version of the tale than other versions previously created; intended to be closer to the original Grimm Brothers fairytales. Snow White is played by Kristen Stewart, whilst the Huntsman is played by Chris Hemsworth. Comic relief is provided as an antidote to the darker nature of the movie, by Ray Winstone and Ian Mcshane, two respected British actors, playing the roles of two of the seven dwarves. The movie opens on May 30, 2012.
