Charlie Sheen - Charlie Sheen's 'Anger Management' Heading To Fx

Charlie Sheen has found a home for his new sitcom 'Anger Management', with the Fx channel ordering an initial 10 episodes of the show, loosely based on the 2003 Hollywood movie starring Jack Nicholson.
Although the sitcom is already hugely anticipated - given Sheen's sacking from Two and a Half Men earlier this year - Fx appear to be airing on the side of caution by commissioning only one series. However, if the show proves to be successful, the channel has the option to pick up an additional 90 episodes, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Tbs used a similar model of acquirement with 'Tyler Perry's House of Payne' and 'Meet the Browns'. The series will see Sheen play a troubled therapist who begins to disrupt his patients' lives with his peculiar behaviour. Fx Networks head John Landgraf called the new series a "wonderful, hilarious vehicle for Charlie's acting talents". The Hollywood star is assumed to have a significant ownership stake in the new series, as well as considerable creative control. Speaking before the Fx deal, TV analyst Bill Carroll highlighted the potentially fruitful partnership of Sheen and big-time producer Joe Roth, saying, "I have to assume what you're really buying is Joe Roth's ability to produce and deliver a show with Charlie Sheen".
The series is likely to go head-to-head with Two and a Half Men, which now stars Hollywood star Ashton Kutcher as internet billionaire Walden Schmidt.
